Clips from The O.C. - The Dearly Beloved (S02E02)
"Okay. I'll write Marissa a note."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Hey."
The O.C.
"- Just making some cereal. You want some? - No, I'm good, thanks."
The O.C.
"She's spending the day at a spa with Hailey, getting a little R&R."
The O.C.
"Well, that's good. She could use a day to relax."
The O.C.
"Well, that's true. She's suffering right now."
The O.C.
"Your mother has a drinking problem. She needs help."
The O.C.
"I've been waiting for the right time, and... I'd been hoping I could do this myself."
The O.C.
"Maybe we can. So she's drinking. We ask her to stop. We don't have to send her away."
The O.C.
"She can't stop. She's tried."
The O.C.
"There's a doctor coming here this afternoon."
The O.C.
"- He's gonna help us stage an intervention. - What?! Wha..."
The O.C.
"Is this is like an after-school special?"
The O.C.
"- The car accident she had? - Yeah?"
The O.C.
"- Did you know she had been drinking? - No, I didn't, because you never told me."
The O.C.
"You never told me anything until right now, and you expect me to help you ship her off."
The O.C.
"We're trying to help her."
The O.C.
"You know, how do I know you didn't cause her to drink?"
The O.C.
"I get that you're upset. I'm upset, too."
The O.C.
"Okay, well, if your way of showing that you're upset is shipping her off"
The O.C.
"You want to run away again? Get in your boat and sail away? Your mother needs you."
The O.C.
"If you want, I can talk to him, tell him you're doing the right thing, 'cause you are."
The O.C.
"Hey. How is your head?"
The O.C.
"Well, I was thinking, after the past few days you've had, some pancakes on the pier"
The O.C.
"Are you kidding? After that scene from Scarface we just lived through?"
The O.C.
"Good. So we'll go."
The O.C.
"Just as soon as you tell me what's going on."
The O.C.
"Marissa, please don't lie to me."
The O.C.
"I'm your best friend, and I know something happened."
The O.C.
"Coop?"
The O.C.
"Coop?"
The O.C.
"Oh, sweetie."
The O.C.
"Well, as long as it takes. Months, maybe."
The O.C.
"I just don't think I can do it. Not to Mom."
The O.C.
"That's the doctor from the clinic."
The O.C.
"- We'll be downstairs. - I'm sorry."
The O.C.
"- How are you feeling? - Better, thanks."
The O.C.
"That's good."
The O.C.
"We should call the house and see if they want us to pick up any food."
The O.C.
"We should probably just go home. You know, there's a lot of leftovers."
The O.C.
"Hello! Anyone home?"
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Oh, hey."
The O.C.
"Why don't you come into the kitchen. I need to talk to you."
The O.C.
"You're acting awfully mysterious."
The O.C.
"- Oh. I didn't know we had company. - Hi, I'm Dr. Kenneth Woodruff."
The O.C.
"I'm a counselor at the Suriak Drug and Alcohol Abuse Rehabilitation Center."
The O.C.
"Uh, what for? Why?"
The O.C.
"We are all here because we are worried that, uh, you have an addiction to alcohol."
The O.C.
"Well, that's very nice of everybody, but not necessary."
The O.C.
"Sandy, you go first?"
The O.C.
"I'm so sorry, honey. How hard this must be for you to hear."
The O.C.
"- I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore. - Sandy, don't you think you're overreacting?"
The O.C.
"I mean, everybody's overreacting."
The O.C.
"Hailey? Please. Now you."
The O.C.
"Keeks. You know our history."
The O.C.
"I don't know that."
The O.C.
"I just encouraged you to make better choices. I didn't lock you up."
The O.C.
"Oh, don't you say a word. I let you into this house."
The O.C.
"I don't want to see that happen again to someone I love."
The O.C.
"...but I am not going."
The O.C.
"Mom, please, you got to do this."
The O.C.
"Aren't you glad you got to come back for all this fun?"
The O.C.
"Actually... I am."
The O.C.
"- Just get better. - I will."
The O.C.
"You gonna be okay?"
The O.C.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Don't worry about Dad. We'll set up a stage in the living room."
The O.C.
"- I'll order. I'm good with the phone. - We'll be fine, really."
The O.C.
"...this was actually pretty fun."
The O.C.
"Well, you're entitled to a little fun."
The O.C.
"Oh, it's just... I feel so guilty."
The O.C.
"About what, smiling the day after your husband's funeral?"
The O.C.
"I mean, let's face it. That marriage wasn't exactly..."
The O.C.
"What we had."
The O.C.
"We're both older and wiser now."
The O.C.
"I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going."
The O.C.
"- We could take off together. - Yeah, Jess? And where would we go?"
The O.C.
"Vegas."
The O.C.
"You a gambler, Trey?"
The O.C.
"I hooked up with you."
The O.C.
"I'm gonna go home and pack, steal my stepdad's Beemer..."
The O.C.
"And I'll be back at 8:00."
The O.C.
"This whole floating in the pool thing is not really helping."
The O.C.
"Yeah, I hear you."
The O.C.
"Hit up an old age home. Some shuffleboard action."
The O.C.
"I'm not really in the mood for old people."
The O.C.
"All right. I like sharks."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Hey."
The O.C.
"Can I talk to you... alone?"
The O.C.
"Look, I'm really sorry to pile on in terms of, like, the worst news ever."
The O.C.
"Hey. It's okay. What's the matter?"
The O.C.
"Yeah...?"
The O.C.
"He attacked her, Seth."
The O.C.
"But she didn't tell Ryan because, you know, he's Ryan, and who knows what he would do."
The O.C.
"- Well, he has to know. - You think?"
The O.C.
"How are you gonna tell him?"
The O.C.
"Welcome."
The O.C.
"I'll show you to your room, but first, I need to check your bag, Kirsten."
The O.C.
"Nice TV. Lot of channels. I'll bet you get a lot of reading done here."
The O.C.
"Yeah."
The O.C.
"Excuse me. Mrs. Cohen, we're having a meeting for new guests."
The O.C.
"What time is the meeting over? I just want to make sure I'm home when you call."
The O.C.
"- It's detox. - Oh."
The O.C.
"And we can bend this thing. Doesn't mean it's gonna break."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Hey."
The O.C.
"We should probably go. IMAX movies have previews."
The O.C.
"Uh, maybe we should skip the movie, actually."
The O.C.
"Do you want to sit down maybe? Or stand up, or whatever?"
The O.C.
"Uh, my-my dad just called. Uh..."
The O.C.
"said my mom just landed at the place. It's really beautiful, and..."
The O.C.
"That's good, man."
The O.C.
"But before I tell you, you got to promise you're gonna stay calm,"
The O.C.
"- Well, it's upsetting. - Yeah, we covered that."
The O.C.
"What do you mean?"
The O.C.
"I can't do that anymore."
The O.C.
"I'm gonna settle this with Trey. Once and for all."
The O.C.
"If that's okay with you."
The O.C.
"And with Kaitlin coming home from boarding school this summer,"
The O.C.
"Again, if that's okay with you."
The O.C.
"Thanks, kiddo."
The O.C.
"I'd really love for us to be a family again."
The O.C.
