Clips from NewsRadio - The Crisis (S01E01)
"He just happened to mention it over dinner one night."
NewsRadio
"Dave."
NewsRadio
"They don't really need to know about our dinner."
NewsRadio
"So, dinner and a desk."
NewsRadio
"What's next, you're going to get him a pony?"
NewsRadio
"What are you talking about, Bill?"
NewsRadio
"Come on, Matthew. Let's go. Hold on, Dave."
NewsRadio
"Before you go, you'd better take this."
NewsRadio
"Right. Go on."
NewsRadio
"Hello."
NewsRadio
"Yes, it is. Huh?"
NewsRadio
"Who is this?"
NewsRadio
"Oh, that's my pal, Tony Palmer, at Desk Emporium."
NewsRadio
"Tony, what's--"
NewsRadio
"Tony-- No, no, Tony, I'm not in the mood to bargain."
NewsRadio
"Hey, Dave,"
NewsRadio
"there's a man calling from that derailed train."
NewsRadio
"He's on a cellular phone, and he sounds real."
NewsRadio
"Tell him to hold."
NewsRadio
"Got to go, Tony."
NewsRadio
"Hello. Yes, yes, this is Dave Nelson."
NewsRadio
"I'm the news director here."
NewsRadio
"Now, sir, are you really on the train?"
NewsRadio
"Great."
NewsRadio
"No, no, no, I didn't mean that. Of course it's not great. No."
NewsRadio
"But, sir, I'd like to put you on the air"
NewsRadio
"if that's all right with you."
NewsRadio
"All right? Okay. Take this up to Lisa in the booth, please."
NewsRadio
"Now, sir, I'm just going to have to put you on hold,"
NewsRadio
"and then patch you through and you'll be on the air."
NewsRadio
"Okay, thank you, sir."
NewsRadio
"Dave, honey, I've been to Desk Emporium,"
NewsRadio
"and their stuff is crap."
NewsRadio
"I'll bear that in mind, Catherine."
NewsRadio
"You do that."
NewsRadio
"A new development on that stalled Number Nine train"
NewsRadio
"in Chelsea..."
NewsRadio
"Mr. Frank Silveri, a passenger on that train,"
NewsRadio
"has called WNYX on his cellular phone."
NewsRadio
"Mr. Silveri, what is the mood on the train?"
NewsRadio
"Yeah, this is Tony Palmer at Desk Emporium."
NewsRadio
"Are you in the mood to bargain?"
NewsRadio
"Hello, Mr. Silveri?"
NewsRadio
"Mr. Silveri? Mr. Silveri? Mr. Silveri..."
NewsRadio
"Great."
NewsRadio
"We lost him."
NewsRadio
"Conference table, everybody. Now."
NewsRadio
"Matthew!"
NewsRadio
"Let the elevator go, Matthew."
NewsRadio
"You just never know"
NewsRadio
"when one of those is going to come by, you know?"
NewsRadio
"They're so...slow."
NewsRadio
"Okay, listen..."
NewsRadio
"Everyone seems sort of distracted today by something,"
NewsRadio
"so let's just take a few minutes to get it out"
NewsRadio
"so we can focus on the work at hand."
NewsRadio
"Who wants to go first? Bill?"
NewsRadio
"Well, actually, I do have a thing or two on my mind,"
NewsRadio
"but I'd much prefer to discuss them"
NewsRadio
"over dinner some night."
NewsRadio
"Unless Matthew has you all booked up."
NewsRadio
"Bill, if you'd like to have dinner sometime,"
NewsRadio
"that would be my pleasure."
NewsRadio
"Actually, I'm very busy this month."
NewsRadio
"Yeah, Dave? Yes, Beth?"
NewsRadio
"Let me just give you the lowdown, if I could."
NewsRadio
"I think what's happening is that everybody's getting really upset"
NewsRadio
"because you and Matthew"
NewsRadio
"have become best friends so fast."
NewsRadio
"Ah! Okay, see? Now we're getting somewhere."
NewsRadio
"You see, I knew this couldn't be all about desks."
NewsRadio
"Yes, it is."
NewsRadio
"Now, I am sorry"
NewsRadio
"if you've all gotten the impression"
NewsRadio
"that I like Matthew more than the rest of you."
NewsRadio
"That is simply not so."
NewsRadio
"Well, you don't have to make it sound so implausible."
NewsRadio
"All right, they pulled the train about 50 feet,"
NewsRadio
"but then it stalled again--"
NewsRadio
"Lisa, not now."
NewsRadio
"I know I've only been here a couple of weeks"
NewsRadio
"and you don't really know me that well,"
NewsRadio
"but I'm sure as you get to know me,"
NewsRadio
"you'll realize I'm very a fair and just person."
NewsRadio
"All right, why don't you guys continue to discuss the desk,"
NewsRadio
"and I'll sit in here"
NewsRadio
"and single-handedly broadcast the news?"
NewsRadio
"It's a deal."
NewsRadio
"Lisa, it's not really about desks."
NewsRadio
"Yes, it is."
NewsRadio
"There seems to be some confusion"
NewsRadio
"about the fact that I had dinner with Matthew."
NewsRadio
"So what? What's the big deal?"
NewsRadio
"Dave and I have had dinner before."
NewsRadio
"Really?"
NewsRadio
"Well, yeah. Once."
NewsRadio
"Or twice, maybe."
NewsRadio
"Two dinners?"
NewsRadio
"This is unbelievable!"
NewsRadio
"Beth, is Sergeant What's-his-name"
NewsRadio
"still on line four for me?"
NewsRadio
"No."
NewsRadio
"I'll take it in here."
NewsRadio
"No desk, no dinner..."
NewsRadio
"Land of opportunity, my ass!"
NewsRadio
"Dave, how did you get an appointment"
NewsRadio
"with the transit commissioner?"
NewsRadio
"I didn't."
NewsRadio
"I'm just going to go down to his office"
NewsRadio
"and figure out the rest from there."
NewsRadio
"Is this one of those plans"
NewsRadio
"that involves somebody dressing up"
NewsRadio
"in a fake nun outfit?"
NewsRadio
"No."
NewsRadio
"Oh, because I have one at home."
NewsRadio
"Good luck."
NewsRadio
"Oh, thanks, Lisa."
NewsRadio
"Oh, you two"
NewsRadio
"probably want to be alone right now, so I'll just..."
NewsRadio
"Beth..."
